On February 20th CESP participated at the opening session of the ‘World Conference on Women in the Security Sector’ which was held in the city of Budva, Montenegro.

The visit was motivated by a request from our member union in Montenegro, the Sindikat Uprave Policije, which has participated in the organization of the event and has served to reinforce their positions with the Administration of the country.

In fact, we had a three-way interview with the Director General of the Montenegro Police.

On the occasion of this meeting we had the opportunity to explain what CESP is and express our full support towards our colleagues during the negotiation of their collective agreement

One of the main missions of CESP is to support our members ‘in situ’ and take their demands to the European institutions.

The visit has also served to strengthen the commitment of our partners with the European project of CESP and the expansion to other unions of countries in the area.

As a culmination of the Conference, the representatives of Spain, attached to the National Office of Equality of the National Police won the first prize for their presentation ‘Gender Perspective in the National Police’. We congratulate to this award and are sure that it will not be the last.
